Truck ploughs through Pune jam, 20 injured | India News – Times of India


PUNE: At least 20 people were injured after a Mumbaibound goods truck ploughed through vehicles held up in a jam between two bridges here on Sunday night.
DCP Sohail Sharma six of the injured were admitted to hospital. Several vehicles were damaged in the 8. 30pm accident between the Bhumkar and Navale bridges. The police said fuel spilled out of some the 25 damaged vehicles, rendering the stretch treacherous and causing some of the traffic to be diverted or stopped.
While the cause of the crash was still being ascertained, it caused a major disruption on the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass, part of the Mumbai-Bengaluru National Highway.
