LeT ‘hybrid’ terrorist killed in Jammu and Kashmir | India News – Times of India


SRINAGAR: A suspected “hybrid” terrorist of the Pakistan-sponsored Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit was shot dead in a shootout with security forces in Bijbhera of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district Sunday. Police alleged the slain man Sajjad Tantray of Kulgam was involved in targeted killings of migrant labourers.
Police said Tantray was leading a security team to a hideout and got killed when the terrorists holed out there opened fire. He was captured some time ago and police alleged that he had “attacked and wounded two labourers on November 13 at Bijbehara”.
“Hybrids” are unlisted radicalised people who carry out terrorist strikes and slip back into their routine lives.
