Alwar: Doctor kills self with lethal jab, leaves suicide note | Jaipur News – Times of India


ALWAR: A 28-year-old doctor looking after the administrative work at a private hospital in Behror ended his life by administering a sedative injection which is usually given to the patients on ventilators on Tuesday. In a seven-page suicide note, the doctor has held himself responsible for the death stating, “I am fed up with the failures in life. I am into excessive boozing and have become a liability.”

According to police, the deceased was identified as doctor Manish Saini. On Tuesday morning, when the door of his flat was knocked on by his colleagues, there was no response. “We reached at the spot and we found him unconscious. He was rushed to the government hospital in Alwar where he was declared brought dead,” said Virendra Pal, in-charge of Behror police station.

“He has asked his brother and father to sell off their parental land at Farookhnagar in Haryana to avoid social defamation after his suicide. No foul play is found since the door of the room in which he used to live was locked from inside. The family members have not suspected anything in this case,” Pal said.
In the suicide note written in Hindi and English, the deceased, said, “Khatam Ho raha hun main aapki kahani main, ho sakey to mujhe maaf kar dena (I am ending in your story, if possible please pardon me).”
Saini had completed Bachelor’s degree in ayurvedic medicine and surgery and joined the private hospital in Behor almost seven months ago.
Pal added that the incident came to notice at 6.30 am when a team of police reached at the residential flats situated in the premises of private hospital. “The deceased in the suicide note has not held anyone responsible for his step. He has stated that he failed to meet the expectations of family members, thus ended his life,” Pal added.
Saini was on night duty and had to attend a meeting on Tuesday morning. “No injury marks were found on the body and it is found that he has got a sedative injection which is usually given to the patients on ventilators. We have seized the injection and the injection bowl from the room,” Pal said. In order to investigate it properly police have also taken the viscera samples of the deceased. “Prima facie it is clear case of suicide still we will also probe murder angle in our investigations,” Pal added.
