The electric version of the Innova is based on the Crysta MPV. The body shell is similar to the Crysta except for a few changes, it gets a re-designed front bumper with a blanked-out grille and also gets blue accents all around. It also gets a different alloy wheel design and at the back, it gets re-designed tail lamps with the blacked-out centrepiece.
Moving on to the interior, the layout is similar to the ICE version. It features an analogue instrument cluster with blue graphics and the infotainment screen displays vital information like the battery level, range and power output.
Talking about the powertrain and battery pack, the company did not reveal any technical details of the EV concept. Details of the electric motor, power figures, battery pack and range remain unknown.
Talking about the recently unveiled Innova Hycross, the MPV will be equipped with the company’s 5th-generation Hybrid system.
The Innova Hycross features an SUV-centric design with a large new front grille, flanked by sleeker LED headlamps. The front bumper looks aggressive and the MPV now makes use of 18-inch wheels with a fresh design. At the rear, the Toyota Innova Hycross gets wraparound LED tail lamps.
On the inside, the Toyota Innova Hycross gets two new colours- Black and Dark Chestnut and Chestnut. Some key interior features include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 9-speaker JBL audio system seats, powered ottoman seats in the second row, mood lighting and a powered tailgate.
The Innova Hycross will be powered by a 2.0-litre strong-hybrid engine and Toyota claims that it has 21.1 kmpl efficiency and can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 9.5 seconds.
There will be a total of 5 variants on offer with the Innova Hycross, including GX, G (petrol engine) and VX, ZX and ZX (O) with the hybrid-electric version. It will be offered with both 7- and 8-seat configurations.
Toyota is offering the new Innova Hycross with a standard warranty of 3 years/1,00,000 km and an optional extended warranty of up to 5 years/2,20,000 km. Moreover, the company is offering an 8-year/1,60,000 km warranty on the Hybrid battery.
