3 boys drown while bathing in river in Kathua | India News – Times of India


KATHUA: The bodies of three boys who reportedly drowned while taking bath in a river in Billawer in J&K’s Kathua district, were fished out on Friday, police said.
Kathua senior superintendent of police (SSP) Romesh Kotwal said, “Three boys all residents of Baggan-Billawar of Kathua district, were bathing in the Bhinni river when they were swept away into the deep waters and drowned.”
“After some people found their mobile phones and clothes lying on stones near the bank of the river the next morning, they called the police. The cops later pulled out their bodies from the river, and sent these to the government hospital, Billawar, for autopsy,” the SSP added.
